Engage with the philosophy and practice of ethical AI at ‘The Lyceum Project: AI Ethics with Aristotle’ – a unique one-day conference hosted by the Institute for Ethics in AI, University of Oxford in partnership with Stanford University, Greece’s National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” and the World Human Forum.
Mark your calendars for June 20th, 2024, as Athens becomes the epicentre of AI ethics discussions, set against the inspiring backdrop of the ancient site of Aristotle’s school, the Lyceum.
This event, which is free and open to the public, promises a rich tapestry of insights, featuring:
1. Philosophers’ Panel: Professor John Tasioulas and Professor Josiah Ober as they introduce their white paper on Aristotelian AI ethics, in conversation with a leading journalist.
2. Practitioners’ Panel: Major figures from the technical, entrepreneurial, and regulatory spheres of AI, including Professor Alondra Nelson and Professor Constantine Daskalakis, discuss the practical dimensions of philosophy and ethics in AI.
3. Speech by the Prime Minister of Greece: The audience will be addressed by Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis
